Who we are
We’re Michelle and Kelly McClure. Since 2021, we’ve been full-time RVers, traveling with our dog Lucy and cat Ziggy in search of mountains, fresh air, and small-town treasures.
What started as just one year 😂 of RV life turned into a lifestyle we love. Michelle works remotely during the week (thank you, Starlink!) and we spend our days off hiking, kayaking, skiing, and finding those quirky stops that make each place memorable.
During our first year, Michelle completed The Healing Journey (online), which healed her heart. In August 2021, we both quit drinking, choosing a life with more clarity, gratitude, peace, and money 😂. We started eating cleaner, moving more, and paying attention to what truly makes us feel good - inside and out.
RV life gave us space to simplify. To breathe. To reset.
We also move slower than most RVers, and we love it that way. Work days are important, and we like to stay somewhere long enough that we actually learn how to pronounce the local place names. We’re not in a rush to check all the boxes - we’d rather settle in, get to know the community, and appreciate what makes each town special.
One of the biggest blessings has been the real, quality time we’ve gotten with family and friends. Instead of quick weekend visits or only seeing people at weddings and funerals, RV life has let us spend meaningful, everyday time with aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends - sharing meals, helping with projects, talking late, and seeing their real day-to-day lives.
We believe in simple joys - local honey, postcards from new towns, and long, slow conversations with the folks who call these places home.
Faith and gratitude guide our travels. We’re thankful to explore this beautiful country and to call everywhere we park home sweet home.
Through McClures on Tour, we share:

Meet the Pets
Ziggy
Born: 2013 in Colorado Springs
Michelle and Kelly’s youngest, Jake, adopted him from the Humane Society - and he’s been part of the family ever since. It’s his daily routine and he takes it seriously. Ziggy is a calm, simple RV cat who loves sitting on Michelle’s lap during morning coffee and again in the evenings. We got him an automatic feeder so he wouldn’t wake us up… but he starts each day with his many Good Morning meows to let us know he’s ready to start the day.
Does he get along with Lucy?
Wellllllll. Lucy is high-energy, and Ziggy is definitely not. They do alright.
Lucy
Born: 2024, probably in Idaho
Michelle first saw Lucy on the PAWS website in Teton Valley, Idaho, and at a quick glance, she looked like Molly. Lucy had been found wandering Salmon, Idaho with her sister. She was estimated to be about six months old when we adopted her, and the shelter guessed she might be an Aussie Doodle. She’s about 50 pounds now, full of personality, and always ready for anything.
Who doesn’t want to get an untrained puppy in Idaho in the middle of winter?
Frequent walks in the cruel wind and snow? Sure!
We call her our Kanga-Doodle-Roo because she can jump HIGH. Very high. We’re still working on convincing her that bopping people in the nose isn’t a proper greeting.
Along our travels, we met a sweet couple from Virginia who heard her story and said, Lucy fell into a tub of buttah. And watching her run around that empty campground in Montana, by a beautiful stream - they are right.
Molly Moose
2012-2024
Kelly found Molly on Craigslist, and we loved her immediately. She had such a unique look - 80 lbs. and he craziest hair. We always joked she was related to Don King with that crazy little mohawk.
From the very beginning, Molly was mellow. Even as a puppy, she was a calm, sweet companion.
She didn’t enjoy being in the truck, but she did love drinking from every stream, river, and lake we visited on our travels. That was probably her favorite part of RV life.
We miss her so much.
